WIRELESS LAN BASED APPLICATION
A STUDY OF WIRELESS LAN BASED APPLICATIONUSING ANDROID SMART PHONE
ABSTRACT
Wireless LAN, which aims to exchange data wirelessly in a short distance
using short-wavelength radio transmissions, is providing a necessary technology
to create convenience, intelligence and controllability. With the development
of modern technology, Wireless LAN supports the Android platform. Android has a
complete software package consisting of an operating system, middleware layer
and core applications. Security
is primary concern everywhere and for everyone .This paper
discuss about the security applications which are used by the Wireless LAN through
android smart phone such as in robotics, home appliances, and accident detections.
These applications are used for our security purpose and reducing/managing the user’s
time also.
KEYWORDS:

I.INTRODUCTION
Wireless LAN’S are groups of wireless
networking nodes within a limited geographic area, such as an office building or
campus that are capable of radio communications. It provides the security
measures at both the application layer and the link layer. An automatic output
power adaptation scheme is also included in the standard for the low power
consumption of light-weight mobile devices, which can reduce the radio spread
range for data transmission exactly according to requirements based on the
detected intensity. In our today’s trendy technology, wireless LAN supports the
Android platform. Android includes a
full set of tools that provides developers with high productivity and deep
insight into their applications as shown in Fig.1. The data received by the wireless
LAN from Android smart phone is fed as
input
to the user. Using these platform users can easily access and protect the
user’s property as privacy.

ACCIDENT DETECTION
An intention to implement an
innovative solution for accident by developing an Accident Detection System
using android smart phone protects us from the accident zone. The heart beat
sensor is based on the principle of photophlethysmography, which measures the
heart beat rate. If an accident is occurred the detector got the signal from
sensor and then the system would filter out the background noise and detect
only the sound of the pulse. The microphone would need to be held near to the
heart or somewhere the movement of blood made enough noise to be detect using
some sort of audio signal processing. Then count the time between each pulse to
get the pulse rate. Then the system will immediately transmit the location of
the accident to the pre-configured contacts through Short Message Service
(SMS).

III.FUTURE
SCOPE
·
In Wireless LAN, can be standard in tens of
millions of mobile phones, PCs, laptops, and other electronic devices. As a
result, market is going to demand new innovative applications, value added
services, end-to-end solutions and much more.
·
In
Smart Living, advanced objectives
such as secure delegation and policy-based access control require a secure user
interface to handle security-sensitive user input and act as an interface
between the remote control with its mobile and a home relieve.
· In
Robotics, can be further improved in terms of decision
taking capabilities by employing varied types of sensors and
thus could be used in big industries for different applications with
advanced feature such as voice recognition.
·
In
Accident Detection, The system should be improved in such
a way that all the modules are incorporated within the vehicle and then integrate with in
an automobile is demand in this accident detection system.
IV.CONCLUSION
In this paper, Wireless LAN based smart home system,
can controlled remotely upon user authentication is proposed and implemented.
In this Android system JDK is used to develop the system, which is proved to be
very efficient and convenient. Then the Accident detection and alert system provide
emergency responders with crucial information at the earliest possible time. Using
heart beat sensor will reduce the death ratio of a human and to provide the
maximum assistance while accident occurs. Then in Robotics commands are received
from android smart phone, the robot motion can be controlled the speed of the
motor, sensing and sharing the information with phone about the direction and
distance of the robot from the nearest obstacle. Accomplishment of wireless LAN
connection is permits the system installation in the Android Smart Phone more
easy way.
